How perfectly still the sea, with the sun glinting on its azure water

Beckoning an invitation

Stepping into the old sailboat, the comforting smells made me smile

As gentle waters teased the side of the hull, I reached out to hold your hand

We laughed as old friends, content in the beauty of the day

A soft breeze danced with the sail and played with my hair in gay abandon

Glimpses of caves in the sparkling distance heightened our excitement

We noticed the coastline rugged and untamed as it stretched down to the sea

The caves had broken away, like wilful children obstinately refusing to return

As we gently sailed beside them, little waves like intruders ran inside

We dived into the crystal blue abyss, longing to join them

On reaching the surface we were spellbound by the silence

The cool rocks created a world where all is preserved and the sun’s fingers cannot enter

We became lost in the splendour of your secret hideaways and hidden treasures

Where we left the echoes of our laughter, paying homage to the enchanted Blue Lagoon

Your poem is just enchanting like the Blue Lagoon, Lorna. It serves as an invitation to go to this magical place to visit and leave all our cares behind. I really enjoyed your gentle words and lovely description of this remote place.
