Do you live by the color of your skin
Or the color of your mind?
For if you look on the inside
Is the outside all you will find?
Do you search for soothing green pastures?
Or is only money on your mind?
For what lay’s in peaceful green fields
Is what greed will never find
Do you see the red blood of a battlefield
Or only a flag in your mind?
For what is beautiful against a blue sky
Is not what a soldier will find
Do you see the white wings of a dove
Or has peace vacated your mind
For if bitterness has taken over your life
Then darkness is all you will find
Do you see only black and white
Or the grey of empathy in your mind?
For if certainty has gripped you
Then compassion you will never find

Thank Mr. x! I appreciate your kind remark. This is a bit how we react and feel about things that happen. There is so much information and political brain-washing going on that we can lose ourselves very easily. I try to find my balance and writing something like that is my own compass.
