We frequently hear the advice: Never give up on your dreams. But what if you don't want to chase them anymore? Should you continue to strive for them or give up?
Sometimes there comes a time in our life when our dreams and desires no longer define us. Our personal goals and ambitions can become more of a burden than a motivation. This is when the saying "Never give up on your dreams" fails. But, for some reason, we continue to strive for these goals, even when they no longer make us happy.
We should sometimes forget about our fantasies because they can make us feel uneasy in our regular lives. Every day might feel like a struggle, and if these fantasies continue to upset us, we may lose sight of the importance of enjoying small achievements in our lives.
But do you know there's something intriguing about dreams; you have the potential to forget about your dreams; the fantasy world might sleep for a while, but these fantasies will always awake at some point in life.
“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.”
— Dr. Seuss
Clouds Are Angels' Pillows
Clouds: Angels' pillows don't need a ticket to soar.
Forget the borders, touching the peaks.
In a cotton veil, uncover priceless treasures.
In search of a reflection, get married to the sea.
Their bag is stuffed with unspoken secrets.
Packed at random during the year
In the face of wild winds, storms, and rainfalls,
Steeples, temples, and minarets murmur.
Pay attention as they describe their incredible adventures.
Allow yourself to be taken on board as the clouds pass by;
Rush because they don't stay for anyone.
Can't you see they're already heading away?
Look at the clouds, and now:
Close your eyes, and
Imagine yourself — confident and at ease.
Can't you see the clouds cradling the explorer of your long-forgotten fantasies?
But then there are dreams like mine that break when reality's cruel face enters, dreams like mine that can never fall asleep, even though you know you can't achieve them at any point in your life, they continue to hurt as long as you are alive. May God never give you a dream that you cannot fulfill.
