The Chant of Peace
The Chant of Peace
have learnt, to seek peace and love in myself, that I always stay happy and calm,
I have learnt, to live my life, silently and let live others too, with no harm.
I have seen, the ebb and flow of life that makes a true man,
I have learnt how he struggles to survive in this short life span.
I have watched the birds, fly high, fearless, in the elegant blue sky,
I have seen the water falling into the depths, from the mountains high.
I have seen the luscious noisy waves racing to reach the sandy silent shore,
I have seen the misty clouds bursting down to earth in a stormy outpour.
I have seen the wealthy men often set out to enjoy life in festive mood,
I have seen the impoverished starving to death without ample shelter and food.
I have seen the fortunate pets kept in luxury and comforts at appalling ease,
I have seen the destitute being driven away with humanity coming to cease.
I have seen the trees and shrubs bearing fruits and blossoms in spring,
I have seen the busy bees and splendid butterflies feast and merrily sing.
I have seen the gleaming dew drops falling down in the winter morns,
I have seen these pearly driblets melt down in daylight on the grains and corns.
I have seen the gentle mothers feeding and caring for their infants in times long,
I have heard them console their off springs and guide them through a wrong.
I have seen people being graciously fair and adamantly rude at times for their survival,
I have seen them ponder over and spend their last days in repentance and revival.
I have so learnt to live by perceiving the quintessence of the celestial and varied creations,
I have learnt that tenderness and care would bring you sturdy and candid relations.
So I have learnt to seek enduring peace in myself that I stay jovial and calm,
My doting heart is entwined in my tranquil soul that causes others no harm.
