The Blue Syringe : Friends or Love?

I'm an aspiring writer, poet, and author from the Philippines. Aiming to be a successful poet and author someday! :)

The Blue Syringe: Friends? or Love?

It started with a blue syringe.

Your humor though makes me cringe.

The more you get closer,

Why does it makes me happier?

My sleepless nights filled with anxiety,

You replaced it with nights filled with bliss and glee.

My world oh so gloomy filled with darkness,

You have brought so much joy and happiness.

What have you done?

Is this some sort of magic?

Moments of your cleverness,

I just can't get it out of my head.

The blue syringe.

Just like love,

You injected it saying it won't hurt.

"You can manage. It's tolerable."

Though it stings,

When I hear you crack a smile,

Every pain in my body fades away.

Just your presence is enough.

I don't know which kind of spell you used,

But it's working.

You approached me as if you are 100% sure we'll be close friends.

Well you did a great job working on that on a short period of time.

Every time you are there to give me my dose of meds,

You are also giving me a dosage of happy pill.

I don't know what started it,

But I guess, I missed your presence.

Love like syringe when applied won't hurt you they say.

Though it will sting a bit if you keep moving where its gonna hurt.

But its tolerable if you want to heal.

Just like love, it can heal or hurt you.

Your choice.

To you, that holds the blue syringe.

Thank you for your kindness.

Thank you for being a brother I can rely on.

Thank you for reaching out.

No one has offered me friendship as clever as the way you did.

It really made a mark and impression to me.

Cause you really make your way

to my life, without consent LOL.

Hope we could cross paths again soon.

But until then, Thank you for giving me that experience.

It made everything special and memorable.

I was just on a journey when you made it happen.

Though I don't exactly know who you are personally,

I'm glad and thankful to have met you.

So long, my friend!

Wishing you well and happiness.

and away from all sickness.

Stay safe and God bless you.

...and these kind of moments are the ones I'd definitely treasure for the rest of my life...
