Snow-Blind
Hello, my name is Rose. Sometimes I write things, but inspiration is a bit fickle. Feedback is welcome. Appreciate ya.
I can’t taste the venom
Beneath the honey of your tongue.
Can’t hear the lies;
So sweetly they were sung
I can’t look past your warmth
to see wastelands within;
I worship the sinner,
I cannot hate the sin.
I’ll never see the light again,
for I thought you held the sun.
I can’t know your cruelty,
you've already won.
I’ll never love another
with your fingers on my heart;
I’ll just fall into the abyss
As you tear my world apart

Tense, mature and edgy.
I could see it and feel it.

Rose, how tragic to be clutched
by the evil that lies within
Quite different from the way it will begin
But, you must extract yourself from the evil end
