That Voice
Hey there, I am Nishika. I'm a budding writer. I enjoy life as it is. After all, it's all about the Brights & Blues. :)
To let go of someone was a choice,
But I still feel the presence of that voice.
Neither too loud nor too faint,
It's just there; like the walls with old paint.
Not audible all the time or the entire day,
But I can hear it when I'm idle or when I lay.
I shake my head and Burry myself under work,
But it returns as fast as if was not too far to lurk.
I might've abandoned it, or at least tried to,
But maybe that voice hasn't and doesn't plan to.

I feel there is a part of us that never really lets go, perhaps in our sub-conscious. Great rhyming skills - I enjoyed this poem.
