Testing Times Do Not Last Forever—This Too Shall Pass!

Chitrangada loves to express her moods and emotions, through her poems. Most of her poems are free style and spontaneous with Nature at core

When billions of people pray together, their prayers are always answered.

When billions of people pray together, their prayers are always answered.

This Too Shall Pass—Poem.

I tried, I tried hard,
To divert my mind,

I tried, I tried hard,
To not watch the News,

I tried, I tried hard,
To smile, and laugh,

I tried, I tried hard,
Not to log in, on the web,

But, I couldn’t avoid watching,

Those scary figures, on the screen,

The dead, affected, contracted,

Sadly, the figures don’t lie,

Never seen or heard,

Such wide scale calamity,

So, what are we supposed to do,

As citizens of this World,

For our fellow human beings.

The answer to me is, ‘Prayers.’

Think and thank those,

Who serve and save lives,

An expression of gratitude,

For them, who risk their own lives,

Time to introspect, and reflect,

Maintain balance, and co-exist,

Tough times do not last forever,

It’s the tough people, who last.

When millions and billions,

Join and pray together,

Look up towards the ‘Supreme,’

The Prayers will be heard,

Let’s have faith and hope,

That, This too shall pass!

The deserted roads, from my balcony, as these are times of social distancing.

The deserted roads, from my balcony, as these are times of social distancing.
