Tame The Beast

Nithya Venkat enjoys writing about nature and different aspects of life in the form of poetic verses.

tame-the-beast

Tame the wild beast in you

Tame it don’t let it out

Change the beast into love and affection

Wipeout all hate insight

You know what is right and wrong

You know the right thing to do

Don’t let the beast consume

All the good within you

It is never too late to change

To let all goodness prevail

Let your kind heart inside

Reside in you and arise

Tame the wild beast in you

Let all your goodness shine through

This is good advice.

Always put forth the best and leave the beast in one behind.

One can change if he wants too.

Thanks for sharing.

Lora Hollings thank you for your visit and comments. We must learn to tame the beast and let goodness prevail.

Marlene Bertrand from USA on July 30, 2019:

Your poem is a reminder that if we let it, the beast can take over and consume our lives. But, we must tame that beast and the best way to do that is to let our "goodness shine through." What a powerful message in this lovely poem.

Lora Hollings on July 29, 2019:

A poem with a powerful message and very well written, Nithya. Yes, we must all learn to tame the beast in ourselves and let our goodness dominate over this beast! That is the only way that our world can move forward and make the progress that we are so much in need of. If we don't, we perish and the beast thrives. Thanks for sharing this wisdom.

Nithya Venkat (author) from Dubai on July 29, 2019:

FlourishAnyway you are very kind, and you should let the beast roar if someone causes hurt.

FlourishAnyway from USA on July 27, 2019:

Sometimes the beast roars but most days she’s contained. If someone hurts an animal or person I love then I let the beast pounce on them.

Li-Jen Hew on July 27, 2019:

Haha, a good reminder to 'tame the beast' within us and let 'goodness shine'! Thanks for sharing, Nithya!
