When the cracks of yesterdays seep through broken glass. Breathe
until the ice trapped within your bones no longer burns
between your fingers. Breathe
when the voices behind and in front of you
and the white tiles that carry the weight of tears
become too heavy to ignore.
For a while
just breathe. Still
there is a scent between loss and love that lingers in the room. But
in the array of forgotten fragrances. So breathe
to remember what was once there. Breathe
to fill in this hole of hunger. Neglected in grief
is but a time that once signified bliss.
Pain will only leave
if one stands to hold the door open. So let yourself
