Take a Chance Per Brenda’s Prompt

I'm interested in social issues, relationships, problems of daily living, jobs, exercise, poems and fiction, plus safer living conditions.

Taking a Chance

I have written the following poems about chances in response to Brenda Arledge’s prompt. We take chances in life to be successful or sometimes to be happy, like taking a chance on love. You may have a dream about a new career, or an invention.

None of us know how long we have to live in this world, so do not waste time. Live each day to the fullest. Enjoy your life and care for others to find happiness. Take a chance and chase your dream while you can!

Taking a Chance!

Chase your dreams every day

Tomorrow may never come

If you fall down get back up

The odds are you win some

Take a chance when falling in love

Always keep your expectations high

Take a chance when getting a job

Know you can’t win if you don’t try

Mistakes we will make along the way

Life presents opportunities always

We can choose what path we follow

Walk your path find new doorways

We don’t know what fate will being

So roll the dice across the table

Take a chance on what is next

Take that chance if you are able

When you face a difficult problem

Think and pray for a good solution

Bad times do not last forever

Friends may make a contribution

Listen to the birds chirp in the sky

Live each day like it is your very last

Enjoy the blue sky and the flowers

Don’t dwell on problems from the past

Cast your cares upon your God

To worry is always a waste of time

Cody Johnson - 'Til You Can't

Acrostic Poem

Cast you cares upon the Lord

Hoping and praying about your dream

Always know there are second chances

Never give up just keep on trying

Chances you can take to succeed

Every choice we make is a chance
