I’ve never met my twin

They say he looks just like me

We never seem to cross paths

We never seem to meet

He always wore the blacksuit

While I preferred the white one

As he drove around in a hatchback

I drove around in a sedan

We were so contrasting to the eye

Mysterious to the soul

These are not my words

Its just what I’ve been told

As I have mentioned before

I’ve never met this twin of mine

Although we live in the same world

We live it in opposite times

But on one faithful day

We finally met

It felt like he drove a knife

Right through my steely chest

I woke up to discover

All my family lay dead

My wife, my kids all were gone

As I thought the guilty had fled

But as a gun lay cold in the palm of my hand

As my eyes grew close to shed tears

I saw my twin wave back at me

From the other side of the mirror
