Sweet Music of Life

Updated on August 7, 2018

There is such a precious melody,

The sweet music that we all hear,

One of life's most wonderful harmony,

those sounds we hold so dear.

Each day we awake, to greet the world,

We see a dawning of early light,

As a rooster crows, the wild birds sing,

making our lives all so bright.

The wind in the trees, the sounds we hear,

Those raindrops on the roof that fall.

As a distant thunder sounds far away,

We love them, their choruses, all.

Refrain:

The sweet music of life, so precious, each breath,

We give our thanks for every one.

There's no greater gift than the day we are born,

Our lives on this earth are begun.

Though our time may be short,

And tomorrow may never to come,

The new days we have on this earth,

Mean the most, in all their sum.

We all should make the best then,

of every new day, right now,

Lord God, in His heavenly home,

gives us a time, that He does allow.

All are a part of life's musicality,

As for each other, are a blessing to be.

Our creator has put on this earthen clay,

A part of His Band of life, in every way.

Refrain:

The sweet music of life, so precious each breath,

We give our thanks for every one.

There's no greater gift than the day we are born,

Our lives on this earth are begun.

That sweet music of life, so grand for everyone.

Lovely poem - or is it a song? Thank you for sharing. There is so much beauty in God's wonderful world around us, if only we pause to look and appreciate it.
