An eight syllable Sonnet

Sweet Face, my Gaze, my Light; my Love,

Within, without, below; above.

Laced with Thy tender fragrance-breath,

I sail beyond unyielding death.

Lost in a drunken nectar sweet,

Love fills my core; my fears deplete.

I feel Thy burning kiss divine;

Feed my Heart with Your breath of wine.

Stunned and dazed by a flood of Peace,

Your music whispers in my core.

I’m soaked in deep supernal bliss;

Dine at the gates of heaven’s door.

Lost in trance-bewildering rays,

In You I blend to spend my days.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 8th February, 2018.

~ Awakening The Inner Light ~

St Theresa

Love is the vintage wine of dauntless heroes.

A banquet, suitable only for the wounded,

The inebriates or drunken Lovers of the Way.

The agony of Lovers burns with emotions;

The fruits of their adversity, is the doorway to Bliss.

O Love, I wish to blow Your flute,

So the soul dances to its rhapsody.

I was scorched and emptied, like an ocean of trash;

Yet recycled to an ineffable joy.

I was the hunter, until one day,

I fell into a creek,

Which stripped me naked of my vanity.

Love came to me and said:

“Now that you are helpless,

Take my lips, for I have always wanted to be kissed.”

My quest was the desire for the ephemeral,

But my veil was rent asunder,

As I came face to face with Delight.

O Lantern, let the silent cry inside you.

Be the seed of everything you seek.

Let the aroma of thy blossoms be fed,

By my sweet Chalice of unspoken Love.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 3rd February, 2018

Sri Chinmoy's quote

Wisdom-quotes from Sri Chinmoy

"A nation can flourish, when it sees no difference between the Creator and Creation, when it loves the world not for what the world will give in return, but Love for its own sake.Selfless Love, true Love never ends, never fails. Love is its own immediate reward." -Sri Chinmoy

" Love is the root; Love is the foundation of our Path. We feel that God is dearer to us not because He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent, but because He is all Love." - Sri Chinmoy.

Perhaps you can play 3 - 4 mins of the sublime music for meditation

The all-fulfilling Love

      Thank you, Dora, appreciated. I suppose Hub Pages could have a romantic love poetry column; and exquisite love poetry column and finally an aesthetic, ethereal, esoteric or spiritual column, which is what I write mostly. Thank you so much!

      You really mastered the art in that eight syllable sonnet, and managed to have it flow smoothly. You're an expert on love poetry.

      Thank you Miz. One of many such pieces. I think I talked a lot about Love in The Old man Speaks on Love and Suffering and quite a few Sonnets.

      But yes, I support you right. Some awesome lines, I've been told. Much Love.

      So beautiful, so much feeling. One time I asked, "what is love?" meaning what is spiritual love? I think you captured the essence here, my sweet friend.

      Yes. You are so right. Your words are always in place. God and the devotee are like a tree and its branches. They both feed the spiritually hungry world.

      I treasure your input. Guru bless your noble Heart.

      I note the other email. Will visit later. Thank you so much!!
