Succulent: A Poem

Updated on March 6, 2017

The plant grows in symmetry,

Budding as a flower,

Reaching for moisture,

And sunlight every hour,

She waits in peace for loving,

Someone to grow beside,

Hopeful in the waiting,

With no shade to hide behind,

But then, a plant is placed by her,

A quiet friend to greet,

So, now they'll grow in harmony,

Until their purpose is complete.

What a very simplistic and beautiful poem. I love the succulent plants; they're gorgeous! I'm not much of a green thumb, or do I know much about plants, but I enjoyed this poem, and I love to look at plants and flowers. So Pretty!

I love how this poem is for people working together. I think we need that a lot nowadays.

Missy Smith: The cool thing about succulents is that they are easy to take care of and will survive even if you forget to water them for a few days. Thanks for your comment!

Jonas Rodrigo: I agree! We all need a friend to help us through life. Thanks for reading!

Great poem with a hidden agenda and the photos are awesome, too.
