Quantum Leaps of Fate: A Poem
There was a boy in a story to poignant to tell
but also too strange to be secretive about
it's about childhood that was sort of hell
sunshine of youth turning a blackout.
An inspiration for seeker, a treat for shrink
story would satisfy tastes of them both
it depends what one prefers to think
about suffering or human growth.
Times of starvation leading to illness
and times of despair, doubt, and fear
also time of being stuck in a stillness
with nothing at all inspiring for cheer.
Then by a magic only found in a fiction
something unfolded in his soul on its own
and contrary to any learned shrink's prediction
all crap of that childhood got somehow outgrown.
Some like to call it a quantum leap
others might prefer digging little deeper
as for me, I am not going to really give a bleep
but I would simply guess that the boy was a leaper.
For, some more leaps occurred a few times later
when yesterday couldn't at all explain tomorrow
with life suddenly turning unexpectedly greater
with no trace left of any suffering or sorrow.
Over years he got used to his "jumpy fate"
even started loving its unpredictable game
each diversity shifting into something great
but never, I mean never, staying the same.
