Still Growing

Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Five Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

still-growing

When doubt is laced in your conversation when it concerns me, please reach for this and read this over and over again until these words sinks in…

I am not a new creation just an improved creation…

I live to love and be loved…

I seek to hold on, stay with and always treasure you who carry my heart…

I am no longer untrustworthy, unfaithful, and unsure of what I want in life…

Search not for the old me for that person no longer exist…

That person has been laid to rest and he who stand before you is highly blessed…

I stand anew in God’s eyes long before it will reach your eyes…

I stand anew and I am true to my God as I am to you…

I stand anew and don’t be startled and suspicious of my glow, it’s just God you know.

Look at me with your heart instead of your eyes; Envy free is what I be, truly I am not the enemy, I am not a threat, I am someone who just wants respect.

My conscious is clear just like my words and if you must judge me let my words represent me in the courtroom of your soul.

Still Growing to the tune of; “Ain’t No Stopping Me Now”….

Still Growing like a fresh planted tree…

Like the Sun rising over the Horizon…

Regardless of past mistakes, regardless of mating with procrastination, and chasing the wrong dreams…

Still Growing and this time, I am leaving behind negative energy, and people who don’t believe in themselves or in me.

Search not for the old me, for that person no longer exist and I thank God for this…

Got to keep going because I am Still Growing, and I can't grow standing still...

Feel me because this is the Real me...

Sometimes we cant get away from people that tear or wear us out. And then there comes a time when we can.

We all are doing the best we can with what we've got.

I enjoyed the feelings in your poem. I dont know...but I heard...remorse, resignation and acceptance of what was and is.
