Stepping Into the Night

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.

special-dreams

We go into the night,

like into a dark fantasy,

a path of silver moonlight,

lights our way,

quiet all around,

the mysteries surround us,

it doesn’t scare us any longer -

the night has become a friend.

We go into the night,

when we hear its music,

a different kind of beat,

from the light of day

and soon it seems,

that this velvety blanket,

with shimmering stars -

has us dancing across the Milky Way.

Into the night,

where love burns much brighter,

where the moon has composed a concerto

and the stars light the way.

Far, far from the troubles of the day,

far from everything,

the darkness like a cloak

surrounds us.

Into the night,

where eyes glitter like jewels,

there in the dark,

where identities now hide,

just two people who know the secrets well,

the secrets of love and desire,

dreaming together,

as the shadows of the night twirl by.

Into the night,

bringing us much delight,

unrecognizable and pulsating,

inspirational,

with the wonder of its mystique,

with great excitement -

we go stepping into the night.
