Stable stands

BeckyTP formally known as Rebecca Moraa is a student at Moi University Main Campus Kenya. My passion in poetry grew in primary school.

Imaginary lands; stable stands
Sick carcasses; red revenge
Meek, weak cries; helpless and hopeless
The sky has turned red; weeping
It nolonger rains; it's not summer yet
Seasons just changed; disruptions
Oh! How are going out; struggle
We're locked up; imprisonment, torture.
The curfew scares us; primal death
All we hear: bullets; helpless moans
Why did everything change so fast?
Day and night; nolonger are different
They both scare us; nights are worse
The sun nolonger rises nor does it set
All we think of; death and imaginary lands
Where we can eat and drink; peace
But when; will it ever happen?
Will we even live long enough-
To see those imaginary lands?
