You Have to Try Everything ~ Why Not Haiku?

These poems were my first attempt at 'haiku'. I didn't really think this would be my forte but I have to try everything at least once, and I actually found I enjoyed the process of writing them.

I have written a few 'haiku' since, but these being my first, continue to hold a special place for me. Thank you for reading.

Spring Rain

Spring rain makes me smile

Birds sing, flowers bloom brightly

The world is alive.

Green

Send the rain down Sam

The land is brown and dying

Green is much nicer.

Raindrops on the Roof

Such a welcome sound

It is raindrops on the roof

Heaven on iron.

Naked in the Rain

The caress of rain

Recommended

Massaging my naked skin

I don't care who sees.

Rain, Rain, go Away!

"Rain, rain, go away

Come again another day,"

Who said such dumb words?

Waking Up to Rain

Waking up to rain

Tap tapping on the window

Makes my day happy.

Autumn Rain

Welcome Autumn rain

How I love to hear your beat

Sweet pitter patter.
