Spending a Night Under the Star Studded Sky - a Stirring Poem

Author:

Spending time alone stirs up dormant desires, suppressed feelings, and the hidden corners of your life you never knew existed. Pen a Poem!

Day in and day out, in the hum bum of life,

comes a time when you feel bright,

I ventured out under the star studded sky,

to discover my true light.

I somehow knew the game,

about the idiosyncrasies of life,

to hit humans at the wrong time,

But nature knows that it has hit the right chime,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

This is the time I am at my best,

gazing at the mountain crest,

knowing its all in rhythm,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

Do you see what I see,

the light of the bright dragonflies,

moving haphazardly to indicate to me,

that life is always in motion in relation to me,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

I ruminated about the era gone by,

still thinking it's on standby,

but Alas, time flies and flies,

leaving no trail of times,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

Expectations galore, longings in store,

I expect more from the universe so whole,

I know in the stillness comes movement,

which indicates our life's truest moments,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

Whom do I confess,

other than the Universe,

The suppressed and the hidden,

the dormant and the subtle,

Oh, I ventured out under the star studded sky.

"To understand the true meaning of joy, we need to venture out on a moonlit night"

Your poem resonates with me. Looking at the sky at night makes us realize just how small our earth is and we who live upon it and how we all fit into the vast universe. It puts things into perspective.

I spend endless hours gazing at the star-studded sky, wrapping myself in the wonder of it all. How small I am by comparison. Free therapy for the troubled mind.

I love this poem and wait for more.

Thank you, Danny
