Someone Is Already There

Not even trying
Not even trying
Flawless living
Unaffected by expectation
You just know
Like a song
Is it human or a lifeline?
To God
What preacher?
What accuser?
What finger pointer?
Carrying no stones in a bag
Only understanding
The human condition
No need to tell you
No need to sell you
Clearly spoken words
Making your heart jump
Coming alive
Because you just know
This is your home
Shaming everyone by mere existence
Someone has to pick flowers
Someone has to be the future
Someone is already there

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on October 29, 2020:

There is no need to judge anyone. No stones to toss. Life is on it's own ...we make our own existence. Each one in a unique way.

Lorna Lamon on October 29, 2020:

The feeling I got from this poem Mark was one of contentment and acceptance. Loved it.
