Snow Limerick
My name is Jamie Lee Hamann and I started sharing poetry articles back in 2013. Every year I share a poem a day in April.
Snow Limerick
There is so much snow on the mountain
from the plow comes miles of snow fountain
as we drive near snowbanks
as tall as Army tanks
and try to push past this white curtain.
There is snow still seen from the valleys
from my yard or from city alleys
for the first time in years
this brings out the skiers
six foot snow drifts the grand finales.
So the spring skiing season begun
in t-shirts we pack up gear in the sun
though the runs have some ice
spring weather is nice
all this excess snow can still be fun.
