Sleepless (poem)

I am who I am. I write poetry and paint really badly. Please be patient.

They haunt me you see…

In the darkness

When I’m alone in every sense.

Without remorse

Come to my bed

And aid in my death.

As shadows run

And hide from the light.

Spiders on my brain

Keeping me awake

Failing to shut eyes

Unable to rest.

Never ending

Contently in motion

Past of problems

Always hiding

From the light

Struggling with

Truth, flowing

Pain… blood… scars

That never heal

Always running…

Make it stop

It’s too much

Running now

To find safety

From these pests

That crawl in

Mind and heart.
