Sipping On Strawberry Wine

She can't help who she is or the way she feels inside
It’s not easy to find all the reasons why
While sipping on strawberry wine
When she tries her best to make people smile

And she fails at every turn
It's just so hard to understand when no one says a word

She shakes her head, shrugs off the thought,
wishing, hoping, and dreaming
To know the past of better days
that gets lost
when trying to find the meaning

Swirls of colors surround her life,
as she sings a love song for one
She closes her eyes just one more time
on the quest to find true love

No bother, nothing at all.
She thinks of what truly matters
Never mind today’s not the day
when life is torn and tattered

Lost in the past, too much to handle,
so, she listens for the beat
When traveling alone this life gets hard
to stand alone on your feet

She listens to the wind, whispering in her ear,
As she struggles to find the words
She enters the stream to wash away the tears
That she finds it to be absurd

Sometimes things just can't be undone,
and others call for just one more
A chance at life, just one more time,
to know what love is for

All around her, surrounded by blue
chasing the wind that sings
She tried her best, failed the test
on what life truly means

The days pass by to no avail,
longing to know the truth and why
She settles in the meadows above
Sipping on strawberry wine…
