Single Dad Limericks II
I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.
Single Dad Limericks II
This young man called Nevada his home
where he married with children to roam
now he find he’s divorced
a little undersourced
under homemade geodesic dome.
He once told his young daughter to heel
then she screamed “You don’t know how I feel!”
Being father is hard
he is caught of his guard
in the moments between every meal.
Then the Dad to his sons had his say
take your time when you find your own way
make sure that you think first
the day of twenty-first
in your life bad decisions can stay.
There was a young daughter named Lily
she thought father was being silly
he always wore shorts
is if on tennis courts
even when weather seemed bit chilly.
His two sons who would never do chores
in their rooms they would lock bedroom doors
“Get out now!” He would say,
“I do not have all day!
Take this mop and scrub all of our floors!"
