Sing First, Dance Later, For All Is He. A Free Verse Sonnet

Sing! Sing the eulogy of the wonder of Love,

Playing its sacred melody in the magna of the soul.

Whisper to the winds –the beauty of nature;

The glory of man!

Chant of the immaculate creations,

Of myriad twinkles of the Light,

All with the miraculous signature of the

Breath of Breaths, residing in their core.

Then you may dance!

Dance with the candle in thine Heart;

Rise to the beat of diamond rain, kissing the

Blossoms and redolence of lavenders.

Then you may choreograph with sweetest tears,

On the seat of the soul, that all is He.

Flight of The Soul. A Free Verse Sonnet

She taxied of the runway,

The smooth tarmac embracing Her wheels,

Allowing Her to run with elegance and Grace.

Majestic in flight, her engine-wings pushed

Upwards, steadily augmenting Her poise.

Prey! Prey, great falcon!

Destroy my ignorance of millennia!

My aspiration-bird longs to soar,

In the firmament of infinity’s Bliss.

O soul, fly! Fly on the banner of heaven’s Light!

My eagle-bird longs to merge;

To dance in the radiant fire of Love.

Sweet Flame, open wide the cosmic door of Freedom –

The golden tarmac, of liberation’s ever-effulgent Delight.

I enjoyed reading the poems, especially the first one, which I loved. The idea of singing and then dancing is beautiful. I love the text on the first photo, too.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on June 27, 2018:

Buddy I am very distracted. So I apologize. We are together learning the keyboard in my office. But that works here. Sing first and follow next. But we danced first. Hard times!!!~ yahoo if life gets better shoot me.

Dana Tate from LOS ANGELES on June 26, 2018:

No other words can express except to say simply beautiful. I like to think of death that way. Being free from the body and the soul being free and flying like a bird with wings.

Ann Carr from SW England on June 26, 2018:

Lovely tribute to Mary who deserves to be honoured in this way.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 26, 2018:

My condolences.

At times like these it is good to know the the soul is still very alive in God.

I'm glad you like the video also. It is a beautiful piece. Loving thoughts.

Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on June 26, 2018:

I woke up this morning to the sounds of birds chirping and singing. Reading this poetry of yours with the quotes and video at the end was particularly touching to me since we recently lost a good friend and her husband is grieving. "The freedom of the soul-bird death cannot take away." We miss her also but like to think of her now in another plane of life free from pain.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 26, 2018:

Hi Mary.

So the pictures do you justice, especially the lake and birds. I'm so happy that you are a lover of birds and nature. Birds are the mystic symbol of the soul. Like the soul, they too, fly in freedom, in infinity's sky. Much Gratitude.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 26, 2018:

Indeed, Frank.

Indeed! Thank you so much!!

Frank Atanacio from Shelton on June 26, 2018:

Mary Norton from Ontario, Canada on June 26, 2018:

What a beautiful poem to read as I gaze out to the Lake here at home. It is early in the morning and the mist is rising from it. I just went out to feed the birds so my heart is singing. Thank you again for inviting us to look at things in a meditative way.

manatita44 (author) from london on June 26, 2018:

Ha ha.

I just told one of my Didiji's that she can fly. Cool, eh?

Thank you for really and truly appreciating my work. Today I'm visiting all my friends. I'll come to you soon. Salaam! Om Shanti! Shalom! La Paz! Peace!

Rinita Sen on June 26, 2018:

Guess what, manatita, I just finished reading and commenting on your other poem, and immediately saw you published this one. It is great to read you consecutively.

Love the second sonnet, the viewpoint of an airplane? This is amazing!
