Simply That

I'm not living for wishes
Hoping for more loaves and fishes
I only want what is true
All the real, all the you

Don't play pretend
I'm not a judge, just a friend
To play a game of questions
Is a map of wrong directions

A life of constant mystery
Never the moment, only the history
Speak to me plainly if you can
Leave translation for another man

There are no blank faces
Between lovers and different races
We feel everything deeply
Nothing hardly, not always sweetly

Is there a way to know
Between us, who's the first to go
Neither of us will ever say
We think upright, not where we lay

I'm only a passion arranger
A cooling mist, a raging inferno
Give me your hand in trust
A friend, a lover, I will always be just

Liked this poem, Mark. I too prefer people to communicate their feelings and thoughts clearly and not expect me to decipher or translate.
