The Revealing Scarf

Faceless worry and care
Silk scarfs, your eyes always there
You have to look at me now
There is no other way
The windows to our souls
But will our hearts wither away?
How can they when all that we seek
Is the human touch, kindness as we speak
You hands, covered so you cannot feel
But not so your heart, that they cannot steal
Walking quickly past, a distance too far
Yet it is so, so too we love a distant star
Gazing upon beauty, covered in satin
One day we will meet again
With shining faces, as if it never happened
