She's no Amateur

I know a puppeteer

Who is no amateur

She is so good

You see no strings

‘til it’s too late

Then there’s no escape

You are hooked

Prepare to bounce

Up then down

Open then close

Twisted all around

You’ve no choice

But to obey

For there’s nothing

You can say

Nothing you can do

From an expert

All of my school aged kiodds are involved with some kind of extra-curricular activy. My 16 year old son is on the drumline at his high school, my pre-teen daughter is on the volleyball and softball teams and my 8 year old son is half way to his black belt in Taekwondo. My little guy who stays home with me and does flash cards during the day has extra-curricular activites of napping and cuddling with Mommy and Daddy! =)

How very thought provoking and clever! I love it! I shall beware of that expert puppeteer.

Thank you for your willingness to return--kind of like Alice : )

I agree. What a better world it would be if those who are in control realized that they have the power to make change happen if only they were courageous enough.

Best Always,

Best Always,

I wish the political world would wake up and see that some of them are on the puppets strings.

Thank you for kind comments. I am always sorry anyone has had to feel what it is like to be on puppet strings. I am not sure what the deal is with the Alice poems, but thank you for alerting me. I will see if I have unintentionally disabled the comment button.

Best Always,

FYI---I just read your collection of Alice poems and there was no opportunity to comment. Perhaps you wanted to disable comments, but if not, I thought you might like to know? I loved the Alice poems, they are so very well-done.

Insightful observation of human nature in a well-crafted, clever poem!! I have been on puppet strings myself before. ~Lurana

Gypsy Rose Lee and wayne barrett,

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments. From what I've gathered, I am not the only one who knows what it feels like to be attached to another person's puppet strings.

Trapped and ensnared. Very good piece.

A puppeteer who is good will always be pulling the strings. Well expressed.

I know the talented type. "So good." "Expert." Be very careful on whom you focus. Thanks for some intriguing lines.

Dim Flaxenwick,

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words.

And I do think you are correct in that "eventually -sometimes it takes a long time : - ) people reap what they sow."

Fabulous poem. Oh so true was every word.

Theater girl,

You are absolutely right. I needed to be reminded that there are some who channel their abilities in a positive way. Thanks for your kind comments and vote.

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. I think you are absolutely correct: the best thing is to run away. Unfortunately, even as old as I am, I am easily taken in... Thank you for your kind comment.
