Shaken to the Core

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

shaken-to-the-core

you left me

shaken to the core

with your harsh words

and cold demeanor

I feel sick

with the thunder

that you left behind

it vibrated

through my soul

and left me

lying dead

unraveled

and unwound

I can feel this poem...such strong emotion.

I can feel the harsh words and picture you being taken aback...leaving you sick.

Words do seem like thunder when they are traveling through your body.

Nice write.

Hi Demas, thank you for the comment. Everything I write is from past experience. I think that’s how you really get in touch with your soul’s emotion and true essence.

Hi Jason, thank you for your comment and compliments. It is greatly appreciated.

But not "unwounded" obviously. True story, or just a plaintive poem?

Jason Nicolosi from AZ on December 10, 2019:

My heart ached a bit after I read that poem. Amazingly powerful and emotional. A sad poem, yet beautifully written.
