Seriously Serene

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

The lake is clear and calm, dark and dim.
Ripples of reflections move outward toward infinity.
Clouds move quietly and slowly overhead.
I am grateful to enjoy my season.

A warm wind and cold rain stings my face.
Green grass and wilted willows seem out of place.
Time forever waits, and yet waits patiently.
Further away time moves, I retreat inward.

As I retreat, I winced under the pressure inside my brain.
I feel no pain, I’m numb from the tension, anxiety, and noise.
Soon I’ll find my bed, I’ll nap and sleep as if in a coma.
I’ll dream dreams so vivid that when I wake I’m still living in them.

Centered in a circle, a loving serenity envelops my mind, heart and soul.
Trusting warmth surrounds me all around.
Wisdom winds it’s way inward to share gentle guidance and spread well being.
I'll be willing and accepting of the sage advice of discerning intelligence.
