Seeking Again The Lightning Princess

Kenneth has a taste for abstract/prose poetry as well as the comical side of life. 23-years of writing for a newspaper has served him well.

I laugh at darkness, his vile and sight

I vanish through foggy wishes from a child's scary night

I sing when vultures black soar to spy corpse alive

I wink at frogs, bats, and cats while sleeping in a web

Bees buzz amidst his confused brow

Priests see me in a glimpse then sweat a bow

An organ sings one hymn to me fading away

As I seize their pleasures of a thief and his day

Knives and nails with edges assail

His crowns fall swiftly to a beggar's Hell

Who softly walks, whines, and tries a kiss

I watch myself in truthful image shapened amiss

I be a serpent, a lioness, a crow

I be a thought, a vision, a ways to go

I wish to be a love, a dove, a river so wild

A cloud, proud and mother's tear so mild

I can't be tamed

I have no name

I seek where none can be

Try as you might you never can see

The lightning princess living in me
