Searching Friendship

This acrostic poem is an effort to showcase the hard work people often do in searching a good friend and then only enjoy that throughout their lives. The poem is of course inspired from Brenda Arledge's word prompt 'Friendship'.

Friendship is a life long treasure but it is only true when we are able to search a good friend and then establish and maintain cordial relations with him or her. Friendship is a mutual relationship and cannot survive on one sided efforts. Equal support and involvement is required from both the sides. A friendship is fruitful only when it brings happiness and fun to all the participants. It is better to move alone than to be in bad and unfriendly company. So the searching a good friend is not an easy task but once found it is a gold mine.

For the quenching of my gregariousness,

Rising out from deep of my heart.

In the pursuit of eternal happiness,

Ecstasy present in my each and every part.

Not adhering to established rules,

Dodging myself in my own recline.

Slowly changing in the fruitful ways,

Hiding my external appearances behind.

In pursuit of that elusive friendliness,

Positioning myself in that happy bind.
