Sapiosexual - The Poem

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Sapiosexual and Love

Sapiosexual and Love

Give me your brain
Your wits turn me on
Give me your thoughts
Let's sail the sea of love forever, going on and on
I simply cant resist your intelligence
I am just deeply sapiosexual
Tesla has nothing on you
Your smarts are fragrantly sensual
You have my heart pounding just by the way you speak
I cant think straight, your mind has me weak

Talk to me, tell me about science
Tell me what your think
Tell me how you would solve the worlds problems
And stop the Titanic from sink
Solve this math equation
Do the Rubik cube
Tell me about the sacred geometry
Tell me again how to transport matter through the tube
Your mind is my bedroom
I just can't sleep without it
I can see your aura, and I am in love with it
Your intelligence is to be treasured, hugged and kissed.

Come to me now, I need you here
Speak physics to me love
Hold me so dear
Whisper stocks and bonds in my ear
Tell me again about the energy that cures all sickness
And that special fruit that vanquishes weakness
I am in love with your all living clever
Your mind, your brain, is my passion forever.

Clive,

Each to his own. Maybe i could handle knowing the Rubik's cube...but too much intelligent talking might lead me to boredom.

Nice write.

What a sweet and peculiar poem with that one-word sapiosexual. in which I have no idea what that means. Otherwise, good write!

Blessings,

Clive --

Yes, Sapiosexual I could be called

deeply in love with all brainy stuff

my heart is hot, but my brain is cold

and what I am learning is never enough.

Mediocrity oftentimes turns me off

with mental laziness and victim/s cry

that's why I satirize and openly scoff

those who don't think, or even try.

I like your poetry, my friend.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on February 09, 2020:

Oh be still my heart. What lovely love. Of course my wives have loved me for the opposite.

FlourishAnyway from USA on February 08, 2020:

I like this. I’ve dated this type, kinda was this type myself, and was bored out of my mind. Opposites attract and I married a very extroverted people person who makes me laugh every day. Going on 25 years now.

Clive Williams (author) from Jamaica on February 08, 2020:

Jodah...thanks.

John Hansen from Queensland Australia on February 08, 2020:

Well, Clive, you take, “I love you for your mind” to a whole new level. Nice poem, Clive.
