Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 78

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Acting is one of the greatest arts,

singing and dancing too.

But art has lost her self-respect,

in these fields artists are few.

The evil desire to become

popular, rich and successful in one night

beating others in race

has tempted many to leave forever the way right.

Passion has become their sole weapon

for flourishment and prosperity.

The bluishness of passion is swallowing

concentration, patience and morality

of the younger generation forever,

hence stopping their proper growth and success

as a python engulfs a live goat into its dark belly

to ensure utter destruction of the helpless.
