Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 66

A PRAYER
You are the eternal supreme court-
the sole law maker, keeper and breaker.
This we should abide by
with all our physical and mental power.
We all know- your laws will pour heavenly wine
into our infinite wounds.
Still people hardly obey you,
we become the prey of the hounds.
With the last drop of my heart’s blood,
with utter devotion and stamina
I will pray to you-
the Attorney-at-Law, the Immortal Barrister, Mahatma.

"Still people hardly obey you." If more did, then we'd all be so much better off. Nice prayer, Sankhajit.
