Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 41

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

DAY BY DAY

Day by day the rich becomes richer,

day by day the poor becomes poorer.

The mother feeds her breast milk equally

to her five children though

they are not equal in physical and mental attributes.

It’s the law of nature-

mother will always distribute her resources equally among her children.

But why is there an inequality?

Because the children fight among each other ignoring their mother,

so, some gathers more, some less;

some earn endless profit; some suffer from irreparable loss.

Day by day the rich becomes richer,

day by day the poor becomes poorer.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on June 10, 2020:

I don't agree with the fact of children fighting among each other being the reason for inequality.

Each one of us are born unique and different. We all have our own path in life to live.

Nice writing though.
