Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 33

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Crown distinguishes a king from common,

without which one will be inseparable.

It’s most worthy of one’s all properties-

it’s one’s pride, honor and glory.

So, the self-respect of human.

It differentiates one from insects, birds and animals.

I will forever appraise its infinite worth

even at the cost of full sacrifice of my utter existence.

I never wish to snatch others’

as I can never do it before snatching my own.
