Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 277

It's Raining
It's raining after a long time.
Humidity is like suffocation-
here normal people need ventilation.
In summer, city becomes a crowdy desert-
unlike the barren one
as here uncountable lives gasp for breath.
It's raining after a long time.
Relaxation is coming from heaven in form of sound sleep
as if mom is singing lullaby to sleep her baby.
The baby is not crying today as smile has conquered its lips.
