Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 246

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Meets With Both Simultaneously

As uneven roads meet at undesired points,

the smoothness of a family meets with

rough unfamiliar weather- she comes to

stay with her hubby's friend: a married person,

no objection is raised by family members.

When darkness descends during day time

due to solar eclipse, the chirping birds feel harassed;

society too feels upset because it's totally unnatural

though eclipse is a natural phenomenon.

One tells, 'I suffer from masculine deficiency',

another says, 'I suffer from irregular cycle'.

Thus a new life begins from an unwanted relationship

but none criticized- it's a bond, a rare friendship.

The fresh bond is affectionate to four.

At horizon, the sky meets the land or sea

but here the sky meets with both simultaneously.

An excellently crafted poem with a deeper meaning. Nice work. I enjoyed this piece.
