Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 206

RELATIONSHIP

Relationship is like ripples

that form quickly and break quickly too-

when the wind blows,

they decorate the river bed;

but when the flow stops,

the very decoration of life ceases to exist.

Wind- the urgent need for a relationship to grow-

plays the most vital role here.

Few relationships are permanent, yes few,

as no wind is needed here to form ripples on the river bed,

here the undercurrent undulates from the bottom,

hence decorating the surface water

as self-sacrifice overthrows the business.

This part is my favorite

"when the flow stops,

the very decoration of life ceases to exist."

Relationships can & do fail...usually from self sacrifice
