Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 190

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

I MAY DIE TOMORROW

I may die tomorrow,

today night may be the last night of my life.

Friends will tell me,

“Enjoy up to the brim tonight.”

I will turn down their proposal,

I will express myself up to the brim.

Enjoyment will satisfy me for a moment

but if my art of creativity satisfies others

I can die in peace.

I’m blessed with an introvert nature,

the guys with extrovert nature will remain

beneath my lamp of creation on the dark,

where the foul smell of kerosene oil

will destroy all their so-called fragrance.

They are very true words. That's a lovely poem.

It's very true that if we leave something worthy behind then we can leave our mark and be remembered. Interesting piece.
