Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 156

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

At midnight today

2021 will step in.

Happy New Year

will destroy all our sin.

Seeds of love and peace

will be sown on this occasion.

This shall be our

new year’s resolution.

Globe will become a joint family,

state will wither away,

societies will sacrifice

to welcome whole heartedly this day.

I’ll be the change

what I wish to see.

I’ll provide

the shade of a banyan tree.

We can only hope this New Year brings the world a little closer and happier.

We all deserve a good year.

Sweet! Charming piece! Great to dream ... to hope. Peace!

Ann Carr from SW England on January 12, 2021:

Lovely! Optimistic and uplifting. How lovely that would be. At least we can hope for better things this year. I hope that love and harmony prevail.
