Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 144

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

TO THE AFRICANS

Who dares to call you black?

You are ever glamorous,

you were glamorous and you will be glamorous.

You are the parents of entire human race,

So, you are born in heaven

and we, your descendants, are born on the earth.

The 21st century is yours,

you will write history

and those who haven’t given you a place in history books

will read your writings.
