Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 13

A COIN
On the road I saw a coin,
I never took it
as I’m honest.
Someone else took it
and kept it in his pocket.
I called him: ‘Dishonest’.
The coin shouted at me:
‘I belong to the owner’.

In my little part of the world, we are told that if you see a coin the angels are looking over you.
See a coin, pick it up.
