MODERN WORSHIP
As the intensity of sunlight fades
with the increasing depth of ocean,
the very essence of worship is fading
with the advancement of modern time.
Light still exists in villages and towns
but darkness engulfs it in cities.
Theme is most important here-
no doubt creativity spreads like sunlight:
art, culture and tradition come in front,
but religion is found drowsy in the last bench of classroom.
Sometimes politics finds place-
many gains from it forgetting all about their religion.
Still creativity shines like the moon,
their only source of income twinkles like the stars,
and unity becomes powerful like the sun…

I like your analogy with sunlight. Modern worship here seems to be declining but I think the virus has brought more people together in spirit, even when they're not allowed to attend the place of worship. Lovely piece!
