Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 110

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

TO MY LIFE

Youthfulness, spirit and courage must surround me

for helping to complete this eternal journey.

Sorrow, grief, loss and pain remain side by side,

these are trifle to those who enjoy this very ride.

Among all negative thinking is worse,

it can build hindrances along my course.

Determination, dedication and discipline must shine like day

to illuminate brightly my only way.

In vain I’ll never spend like a brute,

I’ll build a garden of roses along my route.

Whenever I’ll face some difficulty, I’ll attack

to smoothen forever my golden track.

I’ll move fast with time and age

to finish peacefully this wonderful voyage.

To move on and on I’ll keep my mind broad,

otherwise utter narrowness will shorten my road.

Whatever be the result I’ll face

to add enthuse to my race.

Whatever be the circumstances I won’t stop action,

this will boost me to run along right direction.

I’ll utilize the present, learn from the past days,

future will surely smile with my progress.

In the rays of creation I’ll take bath

to yield new fruits for sweetening my path.

I always learn to behave well,

this will bring others’ support during my travel.

I won’t sit for a moment

to provide momentum to every movement.

My tongue will taste the heaven’s wine

to shower success along my lifeline.

A very good commentary of life through the words of this poem. I enjoyed the read, well done.
