Sankhajit Bhattacharjee Poem 108

Scientific Research Fellow in University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

DAY’S WORK

I don’t know whether my garden

will bloom with roses or weeds.

I don’t know whether my sky

will be sunny or cloudy.

I don’t know whether my future

will smile or weep.

I only know my day’s work,

which the nature and above have allotted to me

and I believe if few bricks are cemented on each day,

after years Rome will surely come into being.
