Sage From The Sands of Time

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

Desert Landscape Cloudy Scenic Sage

I’d like to explore the desert.
I’ve never walked in a desert.
I’d love to see the little desert creatures,
To look into their eyes and see the world from their perspective.

Suddenly sage is burning all around me in a circle of fire.
Somewhere is heard the beat of a ceremonial drum.
The chanting I sense is soothing to my soul.
Shedding my attitude is a breath of fresh air.

On the horizon is an otherworldly mirage.
I walk towards the illusion in my mind.
I feel the sensation with my feet.
I soon find refuge in the illusion.

Guidance is offered up by my spirit guides.
Love and light surrounds me as I receive their energy.
Mother earth grounds me with her living sage,
As I am free to to wander through the sands of time.

Not exactly how I pictured the desert, but you describe it well.

I would like to think I could meet my spirit guide there and imagine I would have an illusion or two.

They say it's extremely hot, so the sand would burn my feet. Yet scorpions seem to love it...I wonder if they hate sage.

Nice trip through the desert.

Sage is good. White Buffalo Sage is the one used for the Smudging.

Lovely imagery. Thanks again!

All the very best!
